- While I was not the one who damaged this laser, I do know how it was damaged. It had material run in it that was not laser safe. I tried to warn them. It has a fair measure of cosmetic corrosion on the inside of the metal that is causing it to flake off, and there has been physical corrosion inside the gantry arm but it still moves. As far as I know, the arm will need to be replaced, but this machine should work otherwise. It definitely needs servicing, but would be great for someone comfortable with using a refurbished laser. The tube should be working fine.
